We couldnt’ be prouder to be recognized at the Kansas State Fair’s annual Exhibitor Breakfast on Sept. 11.
This year, the Kansas Wheat Commission received its “50-Year Exhibitor” Rosette. That shows dedication from our farmer-directors, our staff, and the Kansas State Fair staff to accomodate our booth changes and requests over the years.
The Kansas Wheat Commission was established in 1957 in western Kansas and for years, was headquartered in Hutchinson. In the early 1980s, the office was moved to Manhattan; we’ll usher in a new era later this year when we move to the new Kansas Wheat Innovation Center near the K-State campus.
But our goal has always remained constant: promote Kansas wheat through internationa and domestic marketing; research; promotion and education.
Our exhibit at the Kansas State Fair has always kept these goals in mind.
